SpletAround the ankle and up the calf should feel a lot tighter, but not so much that you're cutting off blood. Boots can take 6 days of (potentially uncomfortable) riding to break in. BUT if they're second hand, they're likely already broken in. So there won't be too much more room to get out of them.
